The Port is located north of the Town of Pietarsaari. The production plants of
UPM-Kymmene border the Port area in the East. A relative extensive activity of
yacht building industries is developing to the North of the Port area.
Botnia Shipping Oy is the stevedoring company operating in the port. They are also responsible for the loading and discharging of the vessels. An important producer of services in the Port of Pietarsaari is TimberPak Oy, an installation for sorting and packaging sawn timber. In addition to sorting the timber according to length they are also specialized in quality sorting.
